Refund policy

At Obsessive Recessive Pets, we want all our customers — both people and pets — to be happy with their purchases. This policy sets out how returns, exchanges, and refunds are handled.

1. General Returns (Pet Supplies & Accessories)

  • You may return most items within 14 days of delivery for a refund or exchange.

  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition.

  • Customers are responsible for return postage costs unless the item is faulty or damaged.

2. Non-Returnable Items

For safety and hygiene reasons, the following cannot be returned:

  • Opened pet food, treats, or supplements

  • Bedding, litter, or other perishable goods once opened

  • Gift cards or vouchers

3. Live Animals

Because live animals require special care, our returns policy differs:

  • No returns are accepted for live animals unless there is a serious issue upon delivery.

  • If an animal arrives unwell, injured, or in poor condition, you must notify us within 24 hours of delivery with clear photographs and details.

  • In such cases, we will offer a replacement (where possible) or a refund.

  • Animal welfare is our top priority — deliveries may be delayed in extreme weather to ensure safety.

4. Damaged or Faulty Products

  • If your order arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours with photos of the issue.

  • We will arrange a replacement or refund at no extra cost.

5. Refunds

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of approval or rejection of your refund.

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days back to your original payment method.
